Author Jennifer Mills has hit the road and is touring the Eyre Peninsula as part of our Writers and Readers in Residence Project, which sees South Australian writers undertake an artistic residency in regional communities to meet locals and activate reading and writing in the area.
So far, Jennifer has travelled to Whyalla where she has met with local writers, including budding writers at Whyalla High School, and will be going to Streaky Bay, Elliston and Port Lincoln in the coming days.
Jennifer has been documenting her travels on her blog and Twitter – here’s a glimpse of the trip so far:
On my way EP! Quick pit stop in Pt Pirie for chat with bookseller Margie at Meg’s Books and a very good coffee at Safavi https://t.co/8IOMt71KnU pic.twitter.com/OsfQkb4kw1

I had a lovely chat with Graham of the Morsecodian Fraternity, who learned Morse Code while a teenager in the postal service so as to get promoted from rusty bicycle to comfortable office, and is now one of about 20 people in Australia that still uses it. #whyalla #historymonth pic.twitter.com/KixIwtLY9h
