The Independent Makers and Presenters (IMP) program supports skills and career development and the creation, development and presentation of new work by independent practising professional South Australian artists involved in literature, the performing arts or visual art, craft and design.

Individual Development: Individual Development supports the professional development of individual, independent artists through master classes, workshops, mentorships, attendance at conferences, attachments to arts organisations or participation in arts residencies.
Strategic Presentation Opportunity: Strategic Presentation Opportunity grants help independent artists and groups respond to significant, unexpected invitations for presentation or exhibition opportunities offered by presenters, venues or festivals.
Building Pathways: Building Pathways helps South Australian artists increase their national and international profile and presentation opportunities by developing connections with influential interstate and international galleries, agents, publishers, producers and presenters.
Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Japan Travel Fund: Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Australia) Ltd. sponsors this grant to encourage cross-cultural links between South Australia and Japan and to allow artists at any stage of their careers to undertake arts-based projects in Japan.
South Australian Living Artist Publication: The annual South Australian Living Artist publication focuses on the production of a major, high-quality book profiling a prominent South Australian visual artist. The book is developed and published in conjunction with the Board of the South Australian Living Arts (SALA) Festival and Wakefield Press.
