Patrick Allington is a writer, editor, researcher and academic from the Adelaide foothills, in South Australia.His novels are Rise & Shine (Scribe: 2020, Aus & 2021 US) and Figurehead (Black Inc.). His short fiction, essays and book criticism have appeared widely. Figurehead was longlisted for the Miles Franklin Literary Award in 2010. His short fiction, essays, columns and reviews have appeared widely. He was a lecturer in English & Creative Writing at Flinders University, and a previous board member of the SA Writers’ Centre and of Australian Book Review.
