Karen is celebrating the success of her two most recently published books, the novel Where the Fruit Falls and a children’s picture book Heroes, Rebels and Innovators, and will be delivering the closing address, followed by a conversation with Anne Brewster, author and Honorary Associate Professor at UniNSW.

About the Artists

Karen Wyld is an author and freelance writer, living on the coast south of Adelaide. Her second novel, Where the Fruit Falls, won the 2020 Dorothy Hewitt Award for an Unpublished Manuscript. And her children’s book, Heroes, Rebels and Innovators, was released in July 2021.

Anne Brewster is Honorary Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales. Her books include Giving This Country a Memory: Contemporary Aboriginal Voices of Australia, (2015), Literary Formations: Postcoloniality, Nationalism, Globalism (1996) and Reading Aboriginal Women’s Autobiography (1995, 2015). She is series editor for Australian Studies: Interdisciplinary Perspectives
