Join Nevo for a cute and wholesome evening of writing for self-love to close out 2022. This online workshop is for young writers (under 30).


Building an environment of safety, vulnerability and self-compassion, this writing workshop explores the ways we can connect with ourselves, our bodies and our history through writing. This workshop is very much aimed at people with all levels of writing experience and irrespective of interest in pursuing professional writing.

 

Learning outcomes:

  • Activities for self-love and self-compassion
  • Discussion of self-dating
  • Connection to the body through writing activities
  • The importance of journaling or writing letters to the self as a form of therapy
  • Sharing with others and holding space for collective healing
  • Short-burst writing activities

 

This workshop is presented by the Writers SA No Limits: Young Regional Writers program, and is aimed at young writers (30 and under). 

 


 

About Nevo Zisin

Nevo Zisin (they/them) is a storyteller, esteemed educator in transgender topics, TEDx speaker, workshop facilitator in schools and workplaces, and award-winning author of Finding Nevo, a memoir on gender transition and The Pronoun Lowdown a useful guidebook on all things related to pronouns. They have been in-conversation with Queer Eye’s brilliant Jonathan Van Ness, their work has appeared in The Saturday Paper, NGV Magazine, Archer Magazine, Buzfeed, Junkee, SBS, Hack Live, ABC’s The Drum, The Morning Show, amongst others. They are an ambassador for both Wear It Purple and the Victorian Pride Centre.
