No Limits Programming Reference Group (invite only)

Our No Limits: Young Regional Writers program offers a diverse range of online and in-person writing workshops and events focused in three regional SA locations: Riverland, Eyre Peninsula and Limestone Coast.

The Programming Reference Group is a volunteer group of young people who will meet and work with the No Limits Programming Team to inform regional programming decisions and develop skills, networks and connections with their peers.

Four online gatherings (Feb, April, July, Oct) in 2022 will be facilitated by the Writers SA regional team to share and develop statewide programming ideas for each quarter. Participants will have the opportunity to see behind the scenes of the programming cycle process, make suggestions for content they would like to access, and develop their teamwork skills.

From these conversations the regional team will also invite participants to pitch projects/events/activities that the Programming Reference Group (as individuals or in small groups or as a whole group) would like to lead and implement with support from Writers SA.

Participants will:

  • Meet and connect with like-minded writerly peers.
  • Connect with Writers SA regional staff.
  • Develop an understanding of programming cycles and decision making.
  • Develop their own programming ideas with the opportunity to implement small projects, events or other activities with support from Writers SA.

This program is presented by the Writers SA No Limits: Young Regional Writers program and is by invitation only in the first half of 2022.

About No Limits

Writers SA's project No Limits: Young Regional Writers supports literary activities in the regions, and creates industry pathways for young regional writers, from skills to publication. The project supports coordinators in three regional SA locations (Riverland, Eyre Peninsula and Limestone Coast), employs diverse authors to present skills-based writing workshops, commissions new literary work by young regional writers, connects young writers with publishers and industry representatives, and presents performance events and literary showcases in regional  venues for communities of readers and writers. With events delivered in-person and online, young regional writers are connected with professional peers and audiences from around Australia. This project is supported by Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund – an Australian Government initiative, and Arts South Australia.

Members of the Programming Reference Group will meet online using Zoom and Mighty Networks.  Instructions will be emailed to you, please check your spam/junk folders. The first gathering will be held in February 2022. Exact time and date TBC.

  • Starts: February 28th, 2022 6:00 PM
  • Finishes: December 16th, 2022 3:00 PM
