Judith Steele is co-author (with Moira Mcauliffe) of Fighting Monsters (Vaughan
Willoughby, Melbourne, 1998). She was twice winner of the Dymocks Northern Territory
Red Earth Poetry Prize (2001, 2002).

Her poetry or prose has appeared in Northern Territory and South Australian publications, in
Gobshite Quarterly (Portland, Oregon), Tema (Zagreb), and in webzines including The
Animist, Tinta 3d and Merida Review. Her “Testament of harm done to you because of being
a woman” appeared in Yoko Ono’s project Arising, Reykjavik, Iceland , October 2016 to
February 2017.

Most recently, (October 2022), Reprobate/GObQ Books (Portland, Oregon) published a
chapbook collection Islands of Disbelief which includes some of Judith Steele’s previously
published, and some new poetry.
