Caroline Reid is an award-winning writer who works in multiple mediums and regularly performs her work. Her plays have been performed in international festivals, broadcast and published (Prayer to an Iron God, Currency Press 2010). Siarad, her debut collection of poetry and prose, was published in print and audio in 2020 by ES-Press, an imprint of Spineless Wonders. As a spoken word artist she has won multiple poetry slams, twice represented South Australia in the Australia Poetry Slam at the Sydney Opera House, and her literary short fiction and poetry have been widely published in literary journals.
Caroline is passionate about sharing her love and knowledge of writing and creativity.
She has dramaturged scripts, mentored writers living with disabilities, young people and women in mid-life, and taught creative writing in arts organisations, schools and community groups including Mockingbird Lounge (2015-2020). Caroline has been the recipient of numerous arts grants and in 2016 was writer-in-residence at Writers SA. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Theatre and Creative Writing) from Curtin
University, a Certificate 3 in Education Support, and a Cert 3 in Individual Support (Disability and Aged Care).
