We are delighted to once again partner with Matilda Bookshop and Ultimo Press for the Deep Creek Residency Fellowship 2025.
Now in its fourth year, the residency offers the winning South Australian writer time away to write and the opportunity to work on a manuscript with a mentor, this year it is the award-winning novelist and nonfiction writer Favel Parrett. In addition, the winner also gets a consultation with Ultimo Press.
This fellowship offers the winner time, writing space, and support. The program is open to work of literary merit, and will be assessed by the Writers SA staff, with the shortlist judged by Writers SA and Matilda Bookshop.
The Deep Creek Residency Fellowship is our state’s only residency, as such it offers South Australian writers a unique opportunity. While there may be only one winner, the shortlist offers the recipients well deserved recognition for a project already underway.
RESIDENCY DETAILS
The Residency is for one week (seven nights) and includes the following:
A travel/living subsidy of $500.
One week’s accommodation at Grass Tree Gully in Deep Creek for uninterrupted writing time. A breakfast hamper (vegetarian) will be provided, but please note that the food offered is for the resident fellow only.
