Emerging Writers’ Festival is thrilled about Victoria’s first ever Indigenous Literary Festival, Blak & Bright, launching this week.
Running from 18-21 February, the festival will include keynotes, performances, workshops, panels and more from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander novelists, storytellers, poets, songwriters, playwrights, comedians, raconteurs and rabble-rousers. Indigenous and non-Indigenous writers and readers alike will converge at five venues across Melbourne to celebrate Indigenous writing, storytelling and ideas in all forms.
The festival aims to have an ongoing impact, ensuring Indigenous artists and writers are engaged within Victoria’s pre-eminent literary programming, leading to audience engagement across the state.
Everyone is welcome. While tickets are free, bookings are required, so follow this link now to make sure you don’t miss out.
