Marion Writers Group

For budding short-story writers and novelists, Marion Writers’ Inc offers the opportunities for budding writers to learn how to create more realistic and gripping characters with engaging dialogue and exciting plots that will hook in your readers.

Members of Marion Writers’ Inc submit a piece of writing (Maximum of 1,500 words) each month by email. At the meetings, members provide one another positive and constructive feedback usually with a written critique. You will learn basic self-editing techniques and how to redraft your work to ensure your writing continues to improve.

The aims of our group is to provide a safe haven where you can meet other people like yourself, a kindred spirit. They have a passion to write and will support you in your endeavours to complete the story that you want to tell.

Marion Writers’ Inc meets at the Hallett Cove library, located in the Cove Civic Centre, 1 Ragamuffin Drive, Hallett Cove SA on every fourth Wednesday of the month from 10.00 am – 12.00 noon, except in January. The meetings are relaxed, friendly social occasions, with the goal of motivating one another through the entire writing process.
