Rosanne Hawke is a children’s author who lives near Kapunda. Her books include Taj and the Great Camel Trek, Marrying Ameera, The Keeper, Soraya the Storyteller and Yardil. Many of her books have been ‘notable’ or shortlisted in Australian awards. Across the Creek won the Cornish Holyer an Gof Award. Rosanne was a teacher and for ten years became an aidworker in the Middle East. She is a Carclew, Asialink, Varuna and May Gibbs Fellow – and a Bard of Cornwall. Rosanne enjoys writing about history, culture, family, music and cats. She lectures in Creative Writing at Tabor Adelaide.
