Leisl Leighton is the award winning and nominated author of eight paranormal romance novels and novellas and four romantic suspense novels. She has a background in theatre and cabaret as a performer, script writer, musical director, stage and tour manager, and co-director. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Publishing and Communications (Advanced), a Bachelor of Arts, and a Diploma of Education in English Literature and Drama/Theatre studies. She has worked as a script writer, script doctor and copy writer, was President of RWA (Romance Writers of Australia) for 3 years and has been a contest manager, coordinator and contest judge. She has appeared in panels and on radio, held workshops and has written many featured articles for blogsites including romance.com.au. Leisl has expertise working across many genres in fiction and non-fiction with her mentoring and assessment clients. As part of her mentoring/assessment work, she teaches craft and structure, works with writers to solidify their ideas, and helps them to not only finish that manuscript, but get it submission-ready. Many of her clients have gone on to be published after working with Leisl.
