Back by popular demand, our scintillating series of four-month intensive courses return! Hosted by experienced practicing authors, this is your chance to commit to your long-form writing project, with the tools, tuition, and time to get it done.

Join Patrick Mullins for an online course on nonfiction writing; celebrated writer and teacher Mark Tredinnick to make your manuscript shine; and Adelaide’s own Karen Wyld for an in-person course on writing your novel.

First Draft — in person with Karen Wyld

First Draft is a four-month intensive to help you finish that draft! The in-person course with novelist Karen Wyld brings together expert tuition, regular meetings, craft workshops, in-depth personal consultations, critical reading of your work, writing time, a private online space and more, to give you the tools and support to develop your manuscript. Suitable for anyone working on a long-form writing project, including fiction and nonfiction in any genre.

First Draft — Online Nonfiction Edition with Patrick Mullins (ACT)

Join award-winning author Patrick Mullins for an online course designed to help you complete your nonfiction project, with fortnightly group meetings, craft workshops, feedback and consultations, group supporting more. Patrick will also offer expert advice on structure, research and storytelling techniques. Suitable for anyone working on a long-form non-fiction writing project of any style; from creative non-fiction, to first-person memoir, essays, reportage, histories or biography.
