Partnership Policy

As the key professional organisation for writers in South Australia, Writers SA receives many hundreds of requests each year for advice, support, promotion and services. These are commonly from organisations and individuals who are seeking to promote a service or product to our members, looking for programming or promotional support for a literary project, or seeking a more broad based program partnership with us.

As a membership organisation, our members are our first priority. While many of our programs, support and advocacy services are aimed at the broader writing community, we maintain a strong strategic focus on supporting the work of our members and connecting our statewide writing community. Our diverse membership currently represents more than 1200 individual writers, writing groups and organisational members from across the SA literary landscape.

Therefore, we ask that before you approach us for a request for assistance, that you join this diverse writing community and become a Writers SA member.

As an organisation that has thrived for more than thirty years, we have a wealth of industry advice and networks that you can access to enhance your organisation or event.

Not only do we have a well developed database of industry contacts from across the nation, including publishers, agents, writers of all genres and stages of their career, illustrators, festival organisers, arts organisations and leaders, writing groups, literary publications, bookstores and sellers, funding bodies and philanthropists, but we also have a very strong profile in the market to help you promote your event, organisation or project, and can reach a targeted and ready audience.

We look forward to working with you and we are sure you will join our many hundreds of partners who gain much value from our advice and support. You’ll also be making a valuable contribution to building, expanding and sustaining the literary and broader arts sector in South Australia and nationally.
