Christine Bailey

Chris has worked for the South Australia Department for Education for 40 years, teaching students from pre-school to Year 12 and designing and facilitating professional development in oracy, language and literacy. Her teaching experience overseas as well as involvement in Cambridge University-Education Faculty’s research into dialogic teaching and the development of teacher resources have informed her most recent classroom teaching and research. Recently retired, she has written the book Teaching Literacy and Language through Dialogue: Notes from the Classroom, describing the implementation of recent research into her classroom teaching.
