The Award is offered biennially for “the best novel written by an Australian author that depicts women and girls in a positive way or otherwise empowers the status of women and girls in society”. The winner receives $50,000 and $5,000 will be shared among the shortlist. The Award is open to novels first published commercially and distributed in the period 1 January 2022 – 31 December 2023.
