Next Wave Festival are currently accepting Expressions of Interest for experimental, political and interdisciplinary projects to form part of Next Wave Festival 2016.

They are seeking a small number of projects across artistic disciplines, but are particularly interested in theatre/performance, online works and discursive projects (projects that encourage critical thought within and around the Festival through writing, speaking or other means). Successful artists will receive artistic and producing guidance from our expert staff, brokerage into funding and presentation contexts, and connections to like-minded peers across the country, as well as the significant exposure gained through being part of one of Australia’s leading festivals for contemporary art.

They’ve changed the process a bit – no unwieldy applications this time! They’re  just after the core of the idea, and the conversation will progress from there. The deadline for submitting an EOI is Monday 8 June 2015, however assessment and responses will be ongoing throughout the application period, which means it’s beneficial to apply sooner rather than later.
