Join the Writers SA Regional Team for this online session to connect with other regional writers and get some writing done. This session is aimed at regional writers aged 30 and over.

Kathy, Eliza and Alysha will be leading everyone through some of their favourite prompts and small writing tasks so that everyone leaves the session with some words pinned to paper. Writers from all genres and styles welcome. This session also includes a sneak peek of other programs being planned for No Limits and the opportunity to have a say on programs you’d like to see in your own community.

This session is aimed at regional writers aged 30 and over.

Our No Limits: Young Regional Writers program offers a diverse range of online and in-person writing workshops and events in three regional SA locations: Riverland, Eyre Peninsula and Limestone Coast. Although the program is aimed at writers under 30, there will also be opportunities for regional writers of all ages.

—Online events are easy to access! You will need an internet connection and (ideally) a device with a camera – computers/laptops or even phones can be used to dial in. You will be sent a link to join a few days before the event. The link will take you to a private digital meeting where you can join the session. You can test the link at any time to ensure you can log in. Please respect the other participants in your event and mute your microphone at all times while the presenter is presenting. Background noise in houses such as TVs, pets and children can affect the sound quality.

—Writers SA members must be logged in to receive the member discount. If you would like to use a workshop credit to book in please contact [email protected] at least five working days before the workshop commencement date. Our staff don’t work full time and we don’t want you to miss out!

—Members of other writing centres in the National Writers Centre Network can access our member discount. Contact [email protected] with your membership number to make your booking.

—Our Youth Membership category also includes a subscription to Voiceworks. Voiceworks is a national literary journal that features exciting new writing and art by young Australians. Join here.

About No Limits

Our project No Limits: Young Regional Writers supports literary activities in the regions, and creates industry pathways for young regional writers, from skills to publication. The project supports coordinators in three regional SA locations (Riverland, Eyre Peninsula and Limestone Coast), employs diverse authors to present skills-based writing workshops, commissions new literary work by young regional writers, connects young writers with publishers and industry representatives, and presents performance events and literary showcases in regional venues for communities of readers and writers. With events delivered in-person and online, young regional writers are connected with professional peers and audiences from around Australia. This project is supported by Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund – an Australian Government initiative, and Arts South Australia.
