Writers SA presents an on-demand workshop you can watch in your own time for a short time. Making up the foundation of almost all fast paced fiction is the concept of Goal, Motivation, Conflict, the 'who, what, why and why not'. In this short video, we'll walk you through the steps to see if your story has it.

**Please note this is an on-demand workshop. As soon as your registration is complete, you will receive a link and password to access the course. Please ignore the December date listed on the event**

Getting excited and jumping into a story idea is fun and exhilerating. At the beginning. If you're finding you're running out of steam or you don't know your characters well enough, forming the bigger picture and carrying on the concept is almost impossible. Does your character's wants and needs change from start the finish? Do they experience growth or does the moral/principle of the story fall flat?

If you're stuck at the halfway mark, or you think your characters are falling short on the page, by going back to the fundamentals of what your characters want, why they want it and what's standing in their way, you'll gain an extra depth of understanding and find some handy ways to move forward with your plot.

There's also a download with exercises and a character interview to help you chart your their wants and needs and a time line for their lives that should eliminate those pesky back story info dumps.

Total time for video and exercises is approximately one hour.
