What is the cathartic attraction of storytelling? Using the ideology of haiga, poet and author Ali Cobby Eckermann will take you on a journey to weave imagery and words to forge statements to reiterate our truths.

'Haiga is a style of Japanese painting that incorporates the aesthetics of haikai. Haiga are typically painted by haiku poets, and often accompanied by a haiku poem. Like the poetic form it accompanied, haiga was based on simple, yet often profound, observations of the everyday world.'

Please bring at least three images from your past or images that have moved you to create your piece for the session.

Proudly presented in partnership with the Art Gallery of South Australia.
