Editing is part and parcel of writing. Whether this means editing yourself or others, understanding how to edit is one way to learn how to write well, and better. Join Cher Tan to develop your own editing muscles in this online workshop.

Workshop attendees will discuss and learn about the ethics of editing, including but not limited to: cultural sensitivity, styles of editing, how to find and pitch writers, and what to do when you get a first draft. Other critical questions include: What is the difference between a structural and copy edit? How does one keep track of their style? How do you know what to keep and what to remove?

This is an interactive workshop where participants will be given tools for improving their editing skills, as well as have an opportunity to edit a sample nonfiction piece.

Suitable for early-career and emerging writers wanting to understand their practise better, and to learn how to get their prose into the best shape possible.
