Join Lee Kofman in this online workshop exploring how writers of fiction and non-fiction can convey their passion for natural environments vividly and powerfully on the page.

Naturalist Roger Tory Peterson suggests that nature-based art offers readers ‘awareness, and in that awareness is the beginning of all true conservation’.

This workshop will provide writers with skills in capturing the essence of natural places on the page, whether in fiction or non-fiction. Lee will facilitate discussion and practical exercises to help you write honestly and clearly about the places you love and bring those places to life for your readers.

Participants will:

  • Explore literary techniques to convey natural environments
  • Learn how to use natural environments to express emotional truth in your work
  • Learn how to write natural places as characters
  • Complete practical exercises to develop vivid writing techniques

This workshop is suitable for all writers at all levels who want to get more creative with settings and place.
