HELPING WRITERS REALISE THEIR
CREATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL DREAMS

Event Registration

The Teen Writers Circle is a weekly space for high-school aged writers from anywhere in South Australia to make connections, be inspired and develop their writing. We provide a safe, fun and engaging program for passionate young writers of all interests, ages and abilities.

Writers will share ideas, talk about what they're reading and what they're writing, and have time and space to work on independent and/or shared projects with support from the facilitator, Audrey Menz.

Participants will:

  • Meet and connect with like-minded writerly peers.
  • Develop and practise creative writing skills.
  • Build a deeper understanding of the writing industry and pathways for the future.

Term 2, 2023 dates: 2pm - 3.30pm Sundays - May 7, 14, 21 & 28, June 4, 11, 18 & 25

About Audrey Menz

Audrey Menz is an emerging queer writer based in Mount Barker, South Australia. She is a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Creative Writing, a current student of a Graduate Diploma of Digital and Social Media, and lover of all things literary academia.

She is particularly interested in fostering and developing spaces for diverse writers, and in her downtime is an avid Slushpile Screener and Reader for the young adult magazine, 'Ember: A Journal of Luminous Things.'

In her own work Audrey explores how the fantastical can be used to deconstruct and investigate social issues. She is currently writing a dark fantasy novel about monsters, gods, and how to heal after experiencing trauma.

When not reading or writing Audrey is a self-proclaimed 'nerd' who can be found delving into her new favourite fandom.
