Join in a casual chat with Lyndall Clipstone as we pick her brain about all things Lakesedge and Forestfall.

As part of the weekend-long event Portal: Fantasy Workshop Festival, Writers SA has invited internationally selling author Lyndall Clipstone to join them in the Riverland's celebration of the fantasy genre. Participants will have the chance to pick Lyndall's brain about any of those burning questions about her duology World at the Lake's Edge, about her writing processes and her publishing journey.

Participants will:

  • Get the behind the scenes of World at the Lake's Edge duology
  • Gain insights to the Lyndall's writing and publishing journey
  • Have the chance to ask Lyndall their own questions - about Lakesedge and Forestfall, industry or even process
  • Connect with the cohort of Riverland fantasy writers, readers and lovers

This event is presented as part of our Portal: Fantasy Workshop Festival in the Riverland (Sept 9-11). See all events, workshops and updates here!

This workshop is presented by the Writers SA No Limits: Young Regional Writers program, and is aimed at regional writers under 30, however writers all ages and locations are very welcome to attend.

About Lyndall Clipstone

Lyndall Clipstone writes about monsters and the girls who like to kiss them. The YA author grew up in the Barossa Ranges of South Australia. From a young age, Lyndall embraced the written word and developed this in her early career, working as a Youth Librarian at Holdfast Bay Library Service, and then as an Academic Librarian at the University of South Australia.

Lyndall studied at the University of Adelaide, achieving a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Creative Writing. She went on to further her education at the University of South Australia, completing a Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Management.

With such a deep personal interest in literature, Lyndall set out to achieve her goal of becoming a professional writer. In 2019, she accomplished a feat many emerging writers dream about, and signed with an international literary agent. The New York-based Jill Grinberg Literary Management agency saw the potential in the young Australian writer, and allowed Lyndall to once again achieve a new author’s dream; an international publishing deal for her debut title, Lakesedge.

This is a FREE event as part of No Limits. This workshop is presented by Writers SA, with support from the Berri Barmera Council.
