Two performances of Caroline Reid's SIARAD as part of Mount Gambier Fringe. Presented in collaboration with Adelaide Fringe and Arts South Australia.

SIARAD (a welsh word meaning “to speak”) is the perfect blend of poetry, theatre and storytelling adapted from Australian Poetry Slam finalist and author Caroline Reid's 2020 published collection of poetry and prose. SIARAD explores themes of love, relationship, loss, ageing, grief and joy with Reid’s self-deprecating honesty, humour and unassuming conversational style drawing her audience into this spoken word theatre performance with a consistent element of surprise.

"a great introduction to poetry for the uninitiated" GLAM ADELAIDE

"incredibly funny,  personable and unpretentious" IN DAILY

"something like a punch in the stomach that you asked for" ARTS HUB

This event is presented by the Writers SA No Limits: Young Regional Writers program but we welcome all writers, readers and audiences aged 15+ to attend SIARAD. While in Mount Gambier, Caroline is also facilitating a poetry workshop open to ages 15+

Our No Limits: Young Regional Writers program offers a diverse range of online and in-person writing workshops and events in three regional SA locations: Riverland, Eyre Peninsula and Limestone Coast.
