THE PRIME MINISTER’S LITERARY AWARDS: CALL FOR ENTRIES

The Prime Minister, the Hon Malcom Turnbull MP, and the Minister for the Arts, Senator the Hon Mitch Fifield, have announced the opening of entries for the 2017 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards (the Awards). This year marks 10 years of celebrating contemporary Australian literature.

An entry form and guidelines are available on the Department of Communications and the Arts website: www.arts.gov.au/pmliteraryawards

Entries close on Friday 2 June 2017 and we encourage submission of entries as soon as possible so judges have plenty of time to read all entries.

The 2017 Awards guidelines (attached) provide that the Prime Minister will make the final decision on the Awards, taking into account the recommendations of the judges.

Timing for the announcement of the shortlisted entries and the winners will be determined later in the year.
